Ruth Elois Miller born January 20,1935 in Bogalusa, Louisiana she went home to be with the Lord on September 28,2014. Ruth is preceded in death by her Husband: Elzy Lee Miller, Sr., Father: Willie Leon Simmons, Sr., Mother: Mary Eliza Simmons, Siblings: Bonnie Lou Simmons, Betty Joyce Simmons, Cristine Sellier, Willie Leon Simmons, Jr., Richard Benjamin Simmons, Son in laws: Howard Mahon & Leonard Obriant, Survied by: One sister , Lucille Smith of Bogalusa, Louisiana, Survied by Children: Elzy Lee Miller & Wife Janet, Daughters: Donis Mahon; Naomi & Alan Dias; Lisa & Jimmy Mark;, Gail Obriant; Michelle & Terry Bowma; Dana & George Guajardo.

She leaves behind 17 Grandchildren & 22 great grandchildren that call her Maw Maw. Included here are Charity & Zadee Dunn, Alex & Naomi, AJ, Ava & Axel Alejandro, Adam & Candice Miller; Heather & Augustene Ruiz; Brandon, Christy, Caleb & Evie Maho; Brandi & Marlon, Malaki & Micah Blakes; Brittany Dias; Kari Marks Ethan & Breanna Hobbs, Kaylee Marks; Jimmy Ray, Madeline & Cooper Marks; Katie Marks; Ashlie Lloyd, Christian & Christian Hutton, T.J & Valerie Bowman; Niko & Ember Elizabeth Bowman Christina, Lexi, Junior & Destiny Guajard; Rosie Guajardo, Jacob & Justin Thomas; George, Jessica, George, Jesika & George Daniel Guajardo; along with many nieces & nephews also Sister in laws Edwin Miller & Barbra Ann Miller.

Ruth Moved with family to Houston,Texas in 1972. She was a member of Munn Street Baptist Church for 41 Years She loved her Lord and Loved her Family she was known as Faithful wife, mother friend & Maw Maw & will be Greatly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on October 1, 2014 at 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm,Services 7pm- 9pm at Blackwell & Vazquez Woodforest Funeral Home at 750 Uvalde Houston,Texas 77015, Services will then be held at Brown-Mcghee Funeral Home at 610 Avenue F,Bogalusa, Louisiana 70427 on Friday October 3,2014 Visitation 10am- 2pm Services at 2pm Burial at Pounds Poole Cemetery.
