Elizabeth Kirkland (Dixon) of Houston, Texas passed away, September 10, 2016. Elizabeth was born in Smyrna Georgia on August 26, 1944 to Freddie Dixon and Nancy Jewel Hess. She enjoyed sewing, reading, woodworking and crafting.
Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband of 52 years; Clark Kirkland, daughters; Nancy Kimich, Carol O’Dell and husband Jimmy and Marie Case and Dillon, grandchildren; Jonathan Johnson and girlfriend Amy Valdez, Crystal Snider, Clark Kirkland II, Melody O’Dell, Erika McCracken, Jimmy O’Dell Jr. and girlfriend Erian Martinez, and Corey McCracken and fiancé Amanda Payne, great-grandchildren; Celeste Johnson, Christopher East, Kooper McCracken, Laina Payne, David Haynes, Austin Haynes, and Jimmy O’Dell III, and nieces and nephews; Melinda Gilbert and husband Tommy, Mark Dixon and wife Buffy, Ronnie Dixon, Lee Dixon, Michelle Scott and husband Ricky, And Daffney Star. She is also survived by her loved ones in Georgia.
Elizabeth will be missed by all who loved her. She was a beautiful woman inside and out.
Visitation for Mrs. Kirkland will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 from 2:00pm to 9:00pm in the main chapel of Blackwell & Vazquez Woodforest Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 6:00pm in the chapel.
