Saturday, October 1, 2016, we witnessed the soul of our beloved Albert Raymond Allala, Jr. leave this world to be with our Father in Heaven. He went peacefully, surrounded by family and friends. Albert was preceded in death by his father and namesake, Albert Raymond Allala, and his mother, Bobbye Jeanne (Allala) Olsen. A successful business man, beloved family man, and dedicated man of God, Albert is survived by his loving and dedicated wife, Hortencia Allala; his children, L. Mark Allala, Catherine Massman, and Tina Martin; his grand children, Megan Lindner, Gabrielle and Eliana Massman, and Sarah and Victor Rodriguez; his great grand children, Reese and Hannah Lindner; his brothers and sisters, Nancy Oldham, Mark M. Allala, Anita Morris, Patricia Holden, Robert Allala, Elizabeth Thompson, Katheryn Allala, Arnold Olsen, and Charles Olsen; and many cousins, nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces who were truly dear to him; as well as his beloved childhood friend, Manolo Garibay, long time friend, Tillman Arledge, and many others whom he loved. Albert was a wonderful conversationalist and philosopher, fisherman, and gardener, and loved serving his community of brothers and sisters at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Houston.
A rosary for Mr. Allala was held on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 7:00pm at the Parish Life Center Hall at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, 8215 Reservoir Street, Houston, TX 77049. Family and friends gathered at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church on Friday, October 7, 2016 for a funeral mass at 12:30pm. A procession was followed to Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038.
