Manuel Jesse Valerio, Jr., Retired Door Manufacturer and life-long resident of Pasadena, Texas, found his final resting place on December 14, 2016 at the age of 58.
Manuel is survived by; his wife, Irma Valerio; his children, Monica Soto, Jennifer Calderon, and Richard Valerio ; his siblings, Ora Valerio, Barbara Flores, Albert Valerio, Alice Cardenas; and his 12 Grand Children, Alyssa, Leroy Jr., Marky, Miranda, Sierra, Esme, Tori, Maddy, Bella, J.J., Rivers, and Blaire. His brother, Edward Valerio; his mother, Magdalena Valerio; and his father, Manuel Valerio, Sr., precede him in death.
Manuel was born in Pasadena on July 27, 1958 to Manuel and Magdalena Valerio. On November 16, 1976, he married Irma, his high school sweetheart. On March 14, 1977, October 21, 1978 and November 13, 1980, respectively, he welcomed his two beautiful daughters and one son, who were the most important part of his life.
Manuel was a devoted father and skilled grill master. He enjoyed smoking briskets, ribs, and burning the occasional fajita. He cooked for family functions or just for the small gatherings over the weekends. He was also a great wood craftsman, lovingly assembling small projects for his children and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
Visitation will begin at 4:00p.m. with wake and rosary services commencing at 7:00p.m. on December 16th at the Blackwell & Vazquez Woodforest Funeral Home at 750 Uvalde Rd. Funeral services will be December 17th at 11:15a.m. at Blackwell & Vazquez followed by a procession to burial at Grandview Cemetery on Spencer Hwy in Pasadena, Texas.
