Lisa Marie Fagan, 52, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 2, 2017. She was born in Ft. Jackson, South Carolina on March 23, 1964 to Dr. Patrick and JoAnn Fagan.
Lisa was a 1983 graduate of Northbrook High School in Houston, and she earned an associate’s degree from HCC Houston Community College in Early Childhood Development.
Lisa spent her life dedicated to the unselfish care of children, including her eight nieces and nephews. She was a passionate ballet enthusiast and was a member of the Houston Ballet. She was a history buff and remembered facts more than most. She loved animals and raised many cats, dogs, finches, parakeets, and fish. Her patience exceeded all. She was most proud of her family and often boasted of their accomplishments, whether on the playing field, school, art studio or home.
Lisa is survived my her loving mother, JoAnn Fagan; sisters Caren Fagan Carroll and husband Todd, Colleen Fagan McGee and husband Tom, and Susan Fagan Wilson and husband Gary; nieces and nephews, Ryan Carroll (19), Ethan Wilson (18), Walker Carroll (17), Abigail McGee (16), Thomas McGee (14), Olivia McGee (13), Evelyn Wilson (12), and Elisa Wilson (10). Lisa is preceded in death by her father, Patrick Fagan, and sisters Laura Fagan and Michelle Fagan.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock in the afternoon until seven o’clock in the evening on Thursday, the 5th of January, at Saint Jerome Catholic Church. Following the visitation, the rosary will be conducted at seven o’clock with Deacon Dan O’Dowd as presider.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at ten o’clock in the morning on Friday, January 6th, at Saint Jerome Catholic Church, 8825 Kempwood Drive in Houston, with Msgr. Dan Scheel as celebrant.
Rites of committal will follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway in Houston.
In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested donations in Lisa’s name to be directed to St. Jerome Catholic School, 8825 Kempwood, Houston ,TX 77080 or to Citizens for Animal Protection, 17555 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77094.
