Raymond W. Sweet 91, passed away Sunday January 28, 2018 in the care of home Hospice in Houston Texas. He is survived by wife Christine, son Kenneth (Carol), daughter Debbie (Dennis) Andrews, Granddaughter Jessica (Noah) Collins and great grandsons Cody and Cage, and son Shawn Sweet. In addition, survived by stepsons Dave (Diane) Wood, step granddaughter Christina and her children Elijah and Ellanor, Danny (Nickie) Bilski and step grandsons Kirk and Dustin. Surviving also are friends Connie Cook and Tommy, Alicia and Tommy Joe Bankhead.
Known to many as “Sugar Ray”, he will be greatly missed by friends and family in Texas, South Carolina, California and Medina County Ohio where he was born and raised.
A memorial service will be held at the American Legion, 2221 Preston, Pasadena, TX, on Sunday February, 11 at 2pm.
Ray was a Navy veteran, serving in World War II. Interment with Military Honors will be at the National Cemetery in Beaufort South Carolina at a later date.
